IRMA ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS THE ORCHESTRE SURREALS  WORLD PREMIER OF "CONCERTO FOR THE COMMITTED" AT THE FORD AMPHITHEATRE, ON FRIDAY JULY 22

             Elvis Schoenberg and the Orchestre Surreal return to the Ford Amphitheatre with a new musical extravaganza, “Concerto For The Committed,” on July 22, 2005. In September 2003  “Symphony of the Absurd,” won them the L.A. Music Award for Best Rock Opera of the Year. The new “Concerto” is sure to garner more aclaim and awards.

         In "CONCERTO" musical visionary Elvis Schoenberg and his 30 member orchestra, join world class singers Jason Paige and Becky Baeling, dancers and surprise guest artists. Together they fuse mega rock hits, classical, jazz and original music with a comedic script interweaving current events, art and politics, creating a multi media spectacle that will change the way you experience live entertainment.

            Wildly popular, this virtuoso ensemble delivers powerfull arrangements of sonic indulgence and mesmorizing visual elements to the stage creating a truly surreal theatrical spectacle you will never forget. Jim Morrison meets Stravinsky.  Hendrix merges with Rossini. Mick Jagger encounters Ravel and Copeland. No genre is off-limits to Schoenberg and crew, equally adept at playing classical, jazz, hip-hop, samba, and hard-driving rock-and-roll.

        Composer-arranger-conductor Elvis Schoenberg a.k.a. Ross Wright, is a moderne day Beethoven. A classically trained musician, winner of the best Orchestral Arranger of the 2003 Los Angeles Music Awards, he has worked as composer and orchestrator on over 20 feature films, and his concert music has been performed throughout the world. Also an accomplished jazz bassist, he has performed with a wide variety of acts ranging from Ray Charles to Middle East superstar Darioush.

        The phenomenal Jason Paige, has a boundary-busting vocal range and sings virtually every conceivable musical genre. A star on the New York cabaret scene, he has also performed with , Michael Jackson, Aerosmith, Ray Charles, Enrique Iglesias, Liza Minelli, Luther Vandross, Chaka Kahn, Usher and Patti Labelle. Paige can also be heard on dozens of popular jingles including the billboard chart topping single,  the theme from “Pokemon.” Some of his stage credits include: starring as Jesus in “Godspell” at the Warner Theatre D.C., "Funny Business" at the Coronet Theatre LA, and he is a member of Michael McElroy’s Grammy Nominated Broadway Inspirational Voices.  Jason has appeared in many National TV commercials, Soap operas and appeared in the Oscar nominated film “Election”.

        The effervescent Becky Baeling, whose 2003 Universal Record's debut "Becstasy" made #6 dance album of the year on the Billboard Charts, and her single's "Getaway" and "If You Love Me" went #1 and #3 on the Billboard Dance Charts.  She was also named Best New Artist of 2003 at the International Dance Music Awards, and had her TV debut singing with Brian McKnight on Fox's Summer Music Mania.  She hails from Michigan, where she sang with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and in many musicals.

          The 25-piece orchestra contains musicians who have played in every genre from symphonies to jazz, Motown to rock, and hip-hop to Sinatra.  Among them: Mike Nelson, Terry Landrey, Phil Feather, Jean Marinelli, Tawnee Lilo, Tim Wendt, Larry Williams, John Grab, Bill Ropper, Ken Rosser, David Hughes, David Arana, T.J. Troy, Chris Wabich, Tom Vos, Elizabeth Chorley, Ted Falcon, Patrick Morgan, Marda Todd, Rich Ploucher and Maria Scherer  

       IRMA Entertainment, a subsidiary of IRMA Corporation an international resource management company founded by Enrique Margulis in 1987, produces for film, theater, and television. IRMA has partnered with Headless productions producing music for television and film. Past clients include AT&T, Bank of New York, Fox's "Club Dread", and American Express.  IRMA also, partnered with Cineblast Productions for films such as "Shooting Vegetarians" and is currently developing independent films in Europe and America. Theatrically IRMA produced "Sold Out" the Rock Opera off Broadway.

      Nestled in the Hollywood Hills the 1241-seat outdoor Ford Amphitheatre stage is set against a magnifiscent backdrop of cypress' and chaparral.  Located at 2580 Cahuenga Blvd. East, Hollywood CA 90068, just off the 101 (Hollywood Freeway) across from the Hollywood Bowl and south of Universal Studios.

The grounds open two hours before showtime for picnicking. The Ford offers a number of dining options: a variety of food and beverages is available on site and box dinners for evening events may be ordered in advance. Patrons are welcome to bring their own food and drink. The Ford is disabled accessible. Portable wireless listening devices are available upon request.            

On-site stacked parking costs $5 per vehicle. FREE non-stacked parking serviced by a FREE shuttle to the Ford  is available at the Universal City Metro station lot at Lankershim Blvd. and Campo de Cahuenga. The shuttle, which cycles every 15-20 minutes, stops in the “kiss and ride” area.

            This event is part of the Ford Amphitheatre 2005 Season, a multi-disciplinary arts series produced by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission in cooperation with Los Angeles County-based arts organizations.
